It has been five years since Iran cinema lost ‘Prophet Joseph’ director, Farajollah Salahshour.
ifilm website remembers the prominent director, who died on the 8th day of the Persian calendar month of Esfand which falls on Friday this year, with a memorable scene of his iconic series ‘Prophet Joseph’.
Salahshour was born in Qazvin in 1952.
He began his career with theatre acting.
In 1982, he made his movie debut with ‘Eternal Repentance’.
Salahshour appeared in several other movies, including ‘Flight at Night’ and ‘Human and Arms’.
In 1993, he directed and appeared in the movie ‘Prophet Job’.
In addition to ‘Prophet Joseph’, Salahshour made the religious TV series ‘The Men of Angelos’, which was also aired on ifilm English TV channel.
The prominent director died in the capital Tehran in February 2016 after a battle with cancer.
